I appreciate all of the great information on this forum and since there are people from all over I thought I'd post a question for you guys.  My wife and I are planning a week long mid winter vacation (February or March) to either Florida or California, and are having a hard time deciding.  Here's what we're wanting to do; sit on the beach, go bass fishing (would be awesome to have a chance at a bass over 7 pounds), maybe ocean fishing, visit a Zoo, or everglades (I've been to the San Diego zoo many years ago), be in a relaxed environment that isn't crowded (not into partying or anything like that (No spring breakers)).  So lets hear it where would you go, when would you go and is there any must dos?

Thanks

I got to fish the Everglades not too long back with another forum member, something I would love to do again. I also had the chance to catch some peacock bass, which was a blast and one of my bucket list fish. Also caught several kinds of chiclids, pickeral, oscars, bowfish, and gar. Tons of wildlife, including big gators, I'd highly suggest it.

I can't speak for California, but you'll find everything on your agenda in Florida,

with the bonus of Sailfish Alley, Key West, Boca Grande, Disney World, Cape Canaveral ~ ~ ~ ~

Fair Warning: a feeding bowfin can make mincemeat out of your Keitech swimbaits on back-to-back casts  :D
