Hey guys. This weekend we ran the boat Thursday and Friday without any issues at all. (04 Yamaha 225 ox66 motor) Got gas and filled oil tank Friday night before tourney on Saturday. Saturday morning at the ramp the alarm goes off when I first start the engine. I got up on plane with the alarm going off and within a few minutes it put me in RPM reduction mode. Sometimes the alarm would go off and others it would not. When it did not go off it did not put me in safe mode. The engine peed the entire time, I had oil and it was getting to the engine, and I had water pressure along with good battery voltage. Wasn't sure if anyone had experienced these issued before. Thanks!

Did you check your temperature gauge?

Since you added oil the first place I would look is the oiling system. Isn't there a priming system in the small engine oil tank? Look at the engine oil tank and sensor, especially if the oil was very low. Just a guess but you may be getting a low oil alarm. My ox66 has done that once because of low oil in the engine tank.

It was actually a sensor before the fuel filter. The sensor that alarms when there is water in the fuel. Bad sensor caused the alarm to go off. Thanks guys for you input!
