Does anyone else use fluorocarbon for jigs ? I'm pretty much just using swimjigs and bouncing jigs in shallow water sand and rocks

In clear water or using swim jigs I use 12lbs flouro but the sensitivity you get with braid fishing the bottom is amazing and definitely worth having around. It took me a while to learn but knowing a good flouro to braid leader knot (improved albright knot) was my greatest evolution into bass fishing. Complete game changer when you feel a rock, subtle bite or even knowing how hard or soft the bottom is. I also get more jigs back since I'm able to feel myself getting snagged and can sort of feel my way out of it. Plus using stronger pound test helps getting your lure back too.

most of the time im using FC for jigs which are my favorite bait. the only other line i would use is braid and that would usually only be for heavy vegetation.

I tried fluorocarbon, but I like dragging a jig and couldn't give up the sensitivity of braid. With braid on my reel it's like I'm running my finger over the bottom and with floro it feels like I'm doing the same thing but with thick gloves on.

I have it on a couple jig rods, copolymer on a couple jig rods, and braid on a couple. All depends on the situation on which one I reach for.

Interesting..

Overall, I have more sensitivity with flouro.

From when it or any other lure contact's the water and all depths in between, can't say that useing braid.
