Howdy folks

The school down the road from me just started a fishing club 8 identical jig rods with the same baitcaster.  The only difference is that all the rods have different 30 lb braid.  This weeks goal is to rate the different braids and so far those that have tried the one with smackdown really give it high marks.  In the product discrimination it says it has a coating to help with digging into the spool.  Has anyone here experienced this and does it wear off?  The 2 that gets the highest marks will be what is purchased going forward.

Aditionally, initial comments had 832 sinking faster than expected........I find this odd since some other bands have smaller diameters

Thanks in advance

Al

832 braid is heavier than water due to the addition of Gore fiber  (proprietary to Sufix)

I've been using Smackdown for over 2 years now without any issues. No digging, nothing "wearing off" nor any discoloration except for minor fading near the end of the season.

Hope that helps!

Seaguar Smackdown has a uniform diameter as well. The line performs even better over time.
