RichF Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 My dad got me some KVD snipper things from Wally for like $5. They are small and have red handles. They are incredible. 1 Quote
Super User Darren. Posted April 20, 2017 Super User Posted April 20, 2017 Boomerang snips are excellent, but there something else you may not even think about: Kid's Fiskars scissors from Walmart! They really do work well. 3 Quote

S. Sass Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 25 minutes ago, Columbia Craw said: Boomerang Snips. Worth every penny. Although they work well from what I read I refuse to pay $10 to cut my line. I have a razor knife I use and a pair of snap ring pliers I got a while back for like $4.99 that has cutters in them. They both work well. Quote
Super User flechero Posted April 20, 2017 Super User Posted April 20, 2017 Just run it across some rock. And save your clippers for the mono! 4 Quote
jr231 Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Yup. I have a set of kobalt scissors (from Lowes) that were cheap and they've been cutting my braid for years and still snippin' ! 1 Quote

BassThumb Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Rapala braid scissors. Going on 5 years now with the same pair. 1 Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted April 20, 2017 Super User Posted April 20, 2017 I have a custom made thingy made out of pike teeth................or at least I have thought about it. Best braid cutters on earth. But until that dream becomes a reality, I use cheap kids scissors from walmart. They last about a season before they become too dull. I toss them at the end of the year and buy a new pair for $2 each spring. 2 Quote

CenCal fisher Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 I have some rapala braid scissors but normally I just use the scissors on my leatherman or the knife on my leatherman Quote

Thinking about trying to justify a 1 watt hand held laser for this...but two bills just to cut fishing line seems excessive even to this gear geek... Quote

Super User RoLo Posted April 20, 2017 Super User Posted April 20, 2017 'ANY' brand of braid scissors will do (Culprit, Calcutta, Cuda, Rapala, Boomerang, Owner ~ ~) Normally I just run the braid over the blade without closing the scissors (how lazy can you get?). Roger Quote
FrankN209 Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 I have braid scissors, but I mainly use my knife... Quote
