Adleyfishes Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Hey fellow anglers has anyone been bass fishing at Zorinsky since the zebra mussels were rid of and it was restocked in 2010? Are the bass decent size or have they not have enough time. I was thinking about going out there I'm from west Iowa Council Bluffs Omaha area. If there's any other good lakes please tell me as well tell me. Thanks and good luck for your next day on the water. Btw I am now in search of big bass tired of dinks so if that's all i'll catch steer me away. Quote
RMax Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 Last year I spent a little bit of time at Zorinsky and caught three 3 pounders but have heard of some fairly large ones come out of there. My friend also caught a bunch of 2's on topwater one night and then we were joking around and he said, "There isn't a fish bigger than 6 pounds in here." Suddenly, right in front of us, the largest wild bass my eye's have ever laid on leaped way out of the water. It was an awe- inspiring moment. PS: I heard the muskie are cruising the shallows at Zorinsky right now. 1 Quote
KCFinesse Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 I caught a four out of there about a year ago. As far as consistently big fish there may be better options. I don't fish in Omaha as much as I used to, but I always seemed to catch a couple very solid fish out of prarie view every year. -Jared Quote
bassh8er Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Fished The Z about 6 times out of the boat so far this year and have only caught walleye and musky, go figure. Your standard Eastern Nebraska bag. Quote

BassAssasinGarcia Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Have Caught some really nice fish out of the Z. One day a buddy and I had 5 over 4lbs along with probably 40, 16-18inchers. Can be hit and miss but there are some really nice ones In there. I'm from Seward, 20miles west of Lincoln so I dont get down there much but usually a good time when we have made it. 1 Quote
