So I just got a brand new mojo bass (a-rig/swimbait) rod pared with the shimano Calcutta 201b. Do you guys think the reel can handle swimbaits such as the jackall ganterel? Also what line should I spool the reel with? Please reply??

That reel can definitely handle the 2.5oz bait. You'll have to use a heavier line like 20-25lb mono or flouro. But keep in mind your capacity will only be around 80-90 yards....which I think should be plenty for bass fishing. It's an awesome reel.

That reel can handle schoolie tuna, so you should be fine.  Limiting factor will be line capacity depending on what kind of line you end up spooling.
