That was a mean fighting fish. It truly felt like you were setting the hook into a brick wall! 1 Quote

bobbyg Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 Those are some good lookin' smallies!! We are going to Dale Hollow early this April and hope to duplicate your results!!! Any advice? 1 Quote
Senko Junkie Posted March 5, 2018 Author Posted March 5, 2018 We will be going back on Easter weekend (end of March). A few years ago, we hired a guide first. He showed us a few great spots but also gave us some great advice. Look for long grassy flats in about 20'0" of water. We used swimbaits and cranked just above the grass. I let it sink until it hit near bottom. Once I started cranking, I would feel the tops of the grass with each crank..........set hook and enjoy! lol 1 Quote

KevO Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 It was 50-52 from the dam to first island Friday. This week is going to be cooler so the temps will drop some, I'd imagine they will be around 60 if it gets warm again, and stays that way. 1 Quote
Senko Junkie Posted March 19, 2018 Author Posted March 19, 2018 Thanks KevO !!! We will be fishing the Kentucky side of the lake. Quote
KevO Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 I haven't been back since, the 2nd but the temps have dropped back into the high 40's. I'll probably go Saturday, look for transition banks near spawning areas. They will be loaded up with smallies, and LM. 1 Quote
