Super User Raul Posted April 13, 2017 Super User Posted April 13, 2017 Anybody got one ? Not that I "need" one but for whatever reason it caught my eye, it's very reasonably priced too ( 2,600 Mex vs 3,300 for a Tatula ) and looks nice. Quote

You might be able to get the spool and reel for $100 us assiming the reel can be had for $70. Hmmmm, why would I want to do that ? Got 3 Pixies, Alphas Type F, Alphas Itö, Alphas R Edition, 2 TDZ 105H, Zonda 68, SS SV, Scorpion 1000 Mg and Chronarch 50 Mg, those are plenty finesse baitcasters; btw, 2,600 Mex aren't 70 US. Quote
Super User new2BC4bass Posted April 13, 2017 Super User Posted April 13, 2017 So......looks like a $100 reel here costs you $140 US in Mexico. Is that correct? Sucks if that is the case. BTW, specs say a precision machined aluminum frame, but doesn't mention side plates so I assume they are made from something other than aluminum...or any metal. Have alternate materials reached the point where we don't need to worry about flexing/alignment? Quote
Super User Jeff H Posted April 14, 2017 Super User Posted April 14, 2017 It has caught your eye Raul, you KNOW what you must do! 2 Quote

Yup, import taxes ( 17% ) and sales tax ( 16% ) rise the cost heavily, the only good part is that in orders above $100 from that vendor I get free shipping, incredibly enough, I have purchased even more expensive reels from Japan and not paid import taxes. 2 hours ago, Jeff H said: It has caught your eye Raul, you KNOW what you must do! Yeah, I know, the funny thing is that I haven't felt the need to purchase reels in at least two or three years, my last purchase was a SS SV. Quote
