ms.cavitycolors Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 I'm new to fishing. Well, kind of. I grew up fishing with my dad, but I don't have any memories of catching anything. So I probably didn't catch anything, because I'm sure I would remember it! Well, this past weekend, we met up with him and decided to go fishing at the Aiken SC State Park. Saw some fish, but didn't catch anything. So, I'm really interested in fishing now, and was hoping to get out on Saturday with some friends. I'm just totally clueless on where to go around Atlanta. I know about Lake Allatoona, and Lake Lanier. We'll just be bank fishing anyway, until I catch some fish and decide I'm ready for a boat. Also, I'm interested in the Ugly Stik GX2 Lady's spinning combo to start out with. I figured it's a middle ground set which will help get me off on the right foot. Other than that, I was born and raised in SC until we moved to Marietta about 3 years ago. We're really into Halloween stuff and I run a t-shirt and collectible company for horror film inspired art and things. Any advice for a beginner would be great! I'm really excited to try my first texas rig!!! Quote
