I have been using an old CD holder for all my spinnerbaits but it got soaked and I am looking for a better way to store them. What is the best way to store them either store bought or homemade that you guys have come up with? Any info. Is appriciated.

I just picked up the Frabill Plano Hydro-Flo Hanging Bait Stowaway, Clear.

Only had it a week or so but it seems decent.

I also use a hanging style box similar to the one previously posted.

I use the Plano FTO style spinnerbait 3700 box for my chatterbait style lures and it works great.

I dunno if it's just me but I have the original one made by falcon and I'm not seeing how it would hold chatter baits well...can we get a picture of how u are doing this

I will be awhile before i can get a pic, but basically the "neck" of the jig fits right into the slot same as a spinnerbait.  The blade and Jig head on one side, the hook and trailer (if attached) on the other.

Bladed jigs are in a Flambeau Tuff Tainer with Zerust inhibitors. Spinnerbait are hanging on a Cook's Go-to tackle system.

Nice that cooks system is interesting...have u tried it for jigs and chatters I could see it working very well for that too

I keep mine in a box similar to what bluebasser86 posted above, but I can't recall what brand mine is. If I'm going to be bank fishing, I'll take the ones I want to use for the day and throw them in a small bait binder that fits nicely in my backpack.

I have an old FTO wallet for spinnerbaits.  Chatterbaits go in a standard 3700 Hydroflow box.

Yes, it does work for both of them. Only issue you might run into is some jigs have hooks that are too thick to fit through the slots.

For me, chatter baits go into a plastic box, partitioned off so that they don't rattle around too much.  My local Walmart currently has the spinnerbait storage boxes (3700 size) for $3.  I have some of those and some of the older Falcon boxes.  Plano used to make spinner baits with notches in the inner walls of the box and the spinner baits were stored laid down.  Anyway, these boxes worked great as long as you didn't pack them too tight.

It depends, I do have one of them deep spinnerbait boxes with dividers from where to hang up to 100+ sbs, so if you are not going to drag that sucker ( other than drag it to the boat ) that's a good option. If I'm going to fish from the bank I carry with me a Flambeau spinnerbait box ( like a tiny version of the big momma ) it can hold up to 6 spinnerbaits.

Same, have a cpl of those hanging boxes and a rod across one of the closets in my sports room that I hang spinnerbaits off of also. Then when I co-angle spinners go in old tackle logic worm like bag with the separate baggies in it. And I put the strap of my main bag through the handle of it and it hangs on the side or top of bag. Chatterbaits are in a 6 or 7 fix slot small Plano box that fits in side pocket of main bag.

How well did that cd holder work? I only have three spinnerbaits and they take up two rows in my 3 plano's.  I'm trying to find something pretty small that I can put five or six spinnerbaits into and throw in a pocket.

i cut notches in a 3600 type box. i have 8 spinnerbaits and 2 buzzbaits in the two sections. they dont tangle and its not a pain to grab one from the bottom. bladed jigs and swim jigs are kept like my regular skirted jigs.

Come to think of it, I have a couple of CD holders that work pretty well for this too.  You can fit a lot of bladed Jigs and spinnerbaits in a CD wallet!

Chatterbaits I store in a normal Plano like I would crankbaits or plastics.

I stick my spinnerbaits in individual ZipLoc sandwich bags and stack them in square Glad containers.  You can fit a cr*pload of spinnerbaits into one of these things.

You just solved my problems, thanks!

It's so obvious once it's been pointed out.
