Looking for a good Flipp'n rod under $179 to be used with #50 lb. to #65 lb. braid main line so needs to be a moderately fast , parabolic bend in MH . Most Flipp'n rods are fast / extra fast H for FC line which just won't do ... Your experiences and suggestions for a 7'6" ~ 7'11"  Moderately Fast  MH Flipp'n rod for braid ?

Okuma TCS is where I'd be looking. Those rods are built with braid and flipping in mind.

I like falcon bucco rods as well, not sure they make them that long but they have a slower action than most.

Take a look at an Irod  Genesis II IRG754F  Fred's Magic Stick.   It is rated as follows  7'5", lures 1/2 to 2 ounce, line  50 to 70 pound braid, Power Heavy, Action fast/moderate.

Another great option is the Irod Bub' Punch Rod.  It is an IRG7114P.  it is rated s 7'11", lures 1/2-2 ounce, line 50 to 70 pound braid,  Power Heavy,  Action fast/moderate.

I know several guys that love the 754F for light to moderate vegetation.  They pitch jigs and also fish frogs on it.

In the case of the Bub Tosh he has been involved in pitching and punching forever.  He has helped make punching a well known technique.

Thanks for the replies - I will take a look at the Irod , Falcon and Okuma rods (going shorter to a 7'4" is also an option) but I need that moderate fast / parabolic action with good backbone .

As for line that is simple. I flip and pitch with 65 pound Power Pro Spectra braid tied straight to the lure.

I would recommend looking at a few St Croix rods.

The mojo bass pitching/light flipping rod is 7'6 MH mod-fast action. Since it's a St Croix, it's going to be more like a heavy power rod. It's also only $140. Seems to match all of your requirements!

They also have a flipping rod that's 7'11 Heavy mod-fast for $150.

Irod 754, 764, 775, 7114 in the Genesis 2 series would all fit the bill

I use an extra fast personally cause I like no give. I haven't torn a hook out but it's all personal preference. I use an inferno 765

what style of flippin are you shooting for.  Punching type or general 1/4 to 3/4 oz setups?

grass, wood, docks, just some general info?

I really like the 7' 11" H--Phantom--from Favorite fishing it is a Rod that was designed for flippin and has the A-rig use in mind. It has a fast tip to load up for throwing the A-Rig which makes it a super flippin stick. It is priced in your range also. I love mine!!!

Thanks for the rod updates , I envision flipping 3/8th oz to 3/4th oz. jigs and pegged craw /  beaver style baits mainly so I'm thinking MH with braid .

Glenn posted a video detailing a Okuma mod/fast rod.
