wet_dream Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 Hey Everyone, My name is Cyril and I am from South Jersey. Started saltwater fishing a few years ago, and just got into freshwater fishing recently. Most of my fishing has been done from shore but recently got a kayak in hopes of covering more water. Have found a lot of useful information on this site and would like to continue learning and hopefully contribute to the forums down the line. Cy Quote

A-Jay I'm a little north of Cape May, a little closer to Brigantine and Atlantic City but I fish in Ocean City and Avalon often. Any freshwater spots you can recommend down here? A lot of guys in the area seem to favor the salt. Quote

Hunting The Striped bass in the dark of night was were I found my solace. Never a sweet water did I visit. I spent more dark moon-less nights hopping the NJ rock jetties than I can count. And It was AWESOME ! Sorry, hope you can find some decent sweetwater. A-Jay 1 Quote

Do you have any insight on productive freshwater lakes/ponds in the area? There's plenty of saltwater fishing to keep me busy, but I just invested in some freshwater combos and would love to catch some nice bass on them. Cy Quote

Cy Most of my bass fishing was done in north Jersey, but I often fished Union Lake and Menantico. I've done a great deal of fishing for chain pickerel in Wading River, Mullica River and Chatsworth Lake. Inspired by the fact that Jersey held 2 former world-records for Chain Pickerel (Green Pond & Lower Aetna Lake) We'd often vacation in the Cape May Canal, then depending on the wind, it was either Bluefish in the Atlantic ocean or Weakfish in Delaware Bay. If you have any questions Cy, drop me a PM Roger 1 Quote
