fishingIsAddicting Posted April 6, 2017 Author Posted April 6, 2017 I thought she was bigger but I'll take it. Wasn't going to let her die there all wrapped up like she was. People were watching me swim in like I was crazy. 2 Quote
KDW96 Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 Ive done it for any fish. Rather get wet than let it die and adds adventure to the day 1 Quote
A5BLASTER Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 Long as the water ain't to cold I'm in for any bass no matter what size it would be. Quote
Smokinal Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 Never swam for a fish. I did have to swim for my boat once; and that's all I have to say about that... 5 Quote

Glad I landed this one, it's so devastating losing a good bass. 1 Quote

Did that last Tuesday, in 52 degree water. It floated away in the 10-15 mile an hour wind while I was unsnagging on a boat lift, so I had to swim for it with a net in one hand. Not fun. To the op, I have also had to swim for fish that get me tangled up. One was just over four pounds and got me tangled around the central dock post underneath a dock, so I jumped in after it and managed to grab the fish. 4 Quote

Super User N Florida Mike Posted April 8, 2017 Super User Posted April 8, 2017 I swam for a fish once when I was 15. Was bream/ catfishing with a dough ball on the bottom when I saw the line moving out. Started pulling it in I saw it was a nice bass .It got hung up in a dead tree by the bank and without hesitation I took the plunge. It wasnt a big deal since I wade fished as much as I bank fished back then !My pb at the time! 4 pounds. Dont think Ive ever swum for one since ! 1 Quote
