I have 100$ in Cabala's Gift cards. Looking to get a new rod. It would mainly throw smaller swim jigs, plastics, fast jerk baits, and stuff like that. I already have a 7'3" MH and a 7'1" MMod. Should I go with a 7' M Fast, or a 7' MH F? Also, I have a O M N and like it, but I really like the ALX IKOS. Haven't handled the ikon, but i have the O M N. I am between those two and a Mojo. thanks

The Abu Garcia IKE Signature Power rod series 7.0-5 is an amazingly good rod. So comfortable, cast great, very good hook set Power, its light and extremely versatile. I highly recommend at least looking at one.

The fit and finish of the rod is outstanding! I always have it in my arsenal.

All good choices so far also take a look the shimano exage rods they retail at $99.00 so you'd still have 30 left for extra gear. Not a big fan of the mojos I used to be but there have been so many $100 rods pushed to market the mojos  are average at best

You can find a regular Daiwa Tatula (Non XT or Elite) for 90-130 on eBay. The rod gets good reviews from others. I've held the rods and liked that the rods weigh less than competing rods in the $100 price range.

Here is a different idea. One of my all purpose rods I love to fish is my Powell Max 683CEF.  I mainly use it as a target rod around structure using swim jigs but it is an awesome rod. Go read the Tackletour review on that rod.  That blank has been updated to the Max 3D rods ut it is also available in a Powell Inferno series as well.  The last time I spoke with Powell and was told the Infernos are very close to the exact action my Max rod had. The newer Max3D is just a tad bit stiffer. Since all of your rods are 7 foot plus a shorter rod may be a nice weapon to add,

As I say, I primarily use it around cover, but last April I was using it to fan cast in big grass flats on Dale Hollow. I was catching big 6-7 pound smallies on a Dirty Jigs swimjig and a 5 inch Kalin grub.

Thanks for all the suggestions, but remember, these rods must be from cabela's, because I have a gift card

Check out the Fenwick Silverhawk II,59.99 on sale

I did like those rods a lot for the price but I'm pretty sure they have discontinued them.  Cabelas does have split grip St Croix Premiers that go on sale often that would be in his price range.

Edit: didnt realize there is a new version of the silverhawk out.

I'd go with a 6'6" or 7' Medium rod in either of the above as they are pretty close to MH in some other brands.  I'd lean toward the shorter rod if you are going to throw jerkbaits with it

How much sensitivity do i lose with the sc2 blank compared to sc3?

Put your debates away and get the Mojo Bass (SCIII Blanks).

SCIII is more sensitive, lighter and faster than the SCII.
