Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 29, 2017 Global Moderator Posted March 29, 2017 Been waiting a few weeks, finally got here yesterday. It's a fairly plan, no frills look with a flat black finish and red accents. A very long handle with foam handles. Not the lightest reel at 8.2oz on my kitchen scale. 9.3 retrieve ratio and 37ipt it should be blazing fast. Hoping to get to test it Thursday. 2 Quote

No, I've been using an Assassin for a few months now and have had good luck with it so far. Hard not to try a super fast reel for only $70. 2 Quote

Considering I fish with several old green Curados, no. But compared to a lot of newer reels, it is towards the heavier side. Quote
hunterPRO1 Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 might help the balance on a big heavy flipping stick though. 3 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 29, 2017 Author Global Moderator Posted March 29, 2017 It's fast, really fast, a little too fast for the 1 fish I had try to eat my frog at the pond today. Hopefully get to fish it for real tomorrow. 2 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 31, 2017 Author Global Moderator Posted March 31, 2017 Got a good test run today. Reel cast a mile, just like the Assassin. No problem with drag on hooksets and no problems winching fish in. Rained on us all day so I didn't get video like I wanted but probably boated a couple dozen nice largemouth and smallmouth on it. 3 Quote

I agree, this reel seems to cast forever. It does take a bit to really understand how fast you are actually moving the bait, but I love mine. It feels solid and I like the longer handle. Quote
