Since a lot of you hate the P-Line Fluroclear. I have another Line that i'm looking at. Would you guys have this line as your mainline?

Floroclear is copoly coated with fluorocarbon.

There's a love/hate with this line on the forums.

I'm among the "love" of this line. I hadn't had any

issues with it while I used it. But I'm a fan of change

and I swapped to Yo Zuri Hybrid, and then to Gamma

Edge fluorocarbon. (Note: all for leader material, not

mainline, I use braid for that).

600 yards leads me to believe your thinking of it for main line.

I just think we have to put a value on time and experience and I think there are lines that would serve you better.

As leader, go for it, if not, pass

I used and still have it in 8 lb and it is very thin and handles great.  It stretches more than any other line i have ever had.  Berkely xl is much better and handles just as well.  I wont say i hate it but not a big fan.  you can get 600 yards of YBB cheaper and its way better line.  Make sure to use the line diameter for YHB and not the rated test...

I tried some 10#.  First snag it broke fairly easy.  I had extra reels with me so I switched it out immediately.

Is this line worth $15.00 for 600 Yards? It was listed in the Flurocarbon section. Just need some positive feedback.

Sorry, but won't get it from me...

To Darren's point, I fall clearly in the "hate" category with this line. Won't ever find it on my reels again. Not a P-line "hater" either. Use their nylon and pure fluoro lines at times without issue.

For use as a main-line, I would not use Floroclear, CX or CXX.

On the other hand, I tie my dropshot rigs with P-Line CXX.

I tried some P-Line last year, caught a nice 3lb6oz smallmouth on 6lb flouroclear. It has a lot of memory though, definitely leader material over mainline for me.

I HATE P-Line Fluorclear if you're living in hot conditions, like AZ   It will frizzle up and get limp. At least with my experience.   It was great when I lived in other states. I'm experimenting with Sniper this season and see if that holds up.

For what it's worth, I tried it on the ice this winter for panfish after seeing some good reports. It may be the worst cold-weather line I've used. I had to strip it from the spinning reel by hand it was so coiled up. It lasted about two trips before I replaced it with a soft mono.

I don't trust floroclear.

Yozuri, is a good STRONG line. I like it for moving baits like spinnerbaits, cranks, jerkbaits, chatterbaits, that kind of stuff.

I don't care for it when it comes to bottom contact. I feel completely disconnected from my bait as far as sensitivity.

That's just me though. I know there are a bunch of people on here that like Yozuri Hybrid.

I currently use the 2 spools I got at walmart as backing. :)

Put me on the floroclear love wagon. I've used it for years and never had any issues. I've found it to be very strong and reliable, now I'm not saying there's not better line out there but for the price I love it.

Fishing Line is a lot of money. It gets even more expensive when you have more Reels to spool. I want to use FC Line.

Big fan of Yozuri Hybrid.  It is the only main line I will use outside of braid/leader.  Stronger and less stretch than fluorocarbon, more manageable like mono but doesn't soak up water, great knots, abrasion resistance.  Only knock on the line is diameter, a bit thicker than most but go down in pound test a notch or two if you need to.  I use it for cranks, spinnerbaits, skipping under docks, etc...

FloroClear breaks very close to the rated #weight of the line - this is the greatest knock against it  as compared to other lines ...

Yo Zuri Hybrid is stretchy and not very sensitive. However it handles well and knots crazy good.

If you're looking for a copolymer main line, CXX in a low lb test ( shop by diameter ) is the bee's knees. 600 yd spools on Amazon for a good price. Don't put it on a spinning reel and do use Line and Lure conditioner.

I use the hybrid for all moving baits and never had a problem.

Agree on YZ Hybrid... 12# works great on Baitcaster. I use 6#YZ or 10# braid on Spinning Rods. Never had a problem with YoZuri!

I would love to see data that supports YHB is any more stretchy than CXX.

I have never bought in to the fluorocarbon craze.  I have been using 17# green  BassProShops excel for years and it is as strong as I need it to be.  Not to mention its $10 for 1100 yds.  I use it on every rod except for my topwater, jig, and chatterbait rods, which gets the power pro 65#

I wouldn't mind either since I'm just going off feels. I have been wrong before.
