I'm looking to fish Lake Fork sometime this year. Can anyone recommend a place to stay? I have never been there and have no idea what's available. I don't need spa level but my wife is going and doesn't fish so she would like something nice and clean. Thanks in advance.

I have stayed at quite a few places around Fork. All of them were 'rustic' but completely acceptable. My wife is not at all the camping type (or fishing type for that matter) and she found them to be just fine. You won't find 5 star places for sure, but as long as she can remember/accept that she is out in the country....she should be fine in most places.

Here are the ones that I stay at most often:

Lake Fork Marina

Hook Line & Sinker

Oak Ridge Marina

Trophy Lodge (friend stayed here actually, but we hung out there for a few hours)

Minnow Bucket (not my favorite, but breakfast in the little diner is good)

Holiday Village - I think you have to be a member or something to get a room here (a friend rented the space for us), but a great place to stay.

Back in the 90's we ate lunch at Oak Ridge Marina every sat/sun!  They had a good burger but the best grilled cheese on earth!!  great memories!

Just got back from Fork.  Stayed at Lake Fork Marina, again.  Rooms have always been nice but they are in the process of remodeling all the rooms.  They are really nice now.   And the staff is super friendly, especially the owner.

Went to Fork for the first time at the beginning of the month and stayed at the Minnow Bucket.  I can't recommend it.  The place was clean, well kept, and the price was the best I could find; but the beds were the hardest I've ever slept on.  Also I'm only 5'8" and the shower heads were level with the top of my head.
