Kidflex Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 I first heard of this place last year watching an episode of Louisiana sportsman tv show. Then shortly another Show featured this private lake. Bith with Greg hackney. A month ago mark zona did a show on it and I couldn't stand it any longer and booked a trip. Unfortunately after the episode aired the price went up! Oh well, better just suck it up and book the trip. This is a 484 acre lake in southwest Louisiana that was once a rice field. Only 5 years old and already producing double digit bass. This place is know to produce 50-75 fish days(6hrs). My time came up and headed south this morning with my girlfriend. We launched around 0645 and started fishing topwaters. Wasn't long before my gf caught a white perch on a whopper plopper, lol. A few casts later she landed a nice bass. Her PB! i was stubborn and continued to throw a frog but it wasn't long before a got a hookup, finally on board. Btw, The finger is indicating my first fish and is not the ISIS symbol. We continued to fish various baits after the topwater bite subsided which included swim jigs, swim baits, trick worms and senkos. The catching was good for me but considered below average according to my guide. The wind was blowing harder than I'd liked which made workin an area thoroughly difficult. But we managed to catch at a good pace with these being the average sized fish. When we got back to the dock. Hank Parker was getting ready to go out to film his second episode on grosse savanne. Talked to him a bit and got a photo. One of my fishing idols growing up. Over all a great trip and a fantastic fishery. Total for the boat was around 50 bass. Most were 2-4 lbs. only 2-3 dinks! 2 Quote
