I've read reviews the stock treble hooks on the S-Waver 168 aren't good, they seem beefy to me. I know they are size 1 treble hooks, what would be a better replacement? Have you changed out your hooks on your 168?

Ditto, owner st-36 of 41! Saw the topic, had no idea these would be the only suggestion! Dependable, tough, and I love the shorter shank compared to other replacement hooks, keeps that bait close to their face making it harder to shake.

btw I have several 168's ( 26 to be exact lol, and half that many 200's) the stock hooks ain't THAT bad, but the owner is leaps and bounds better, and the weight difference is so subtle most of us won't even notice.

Sorry for bringing this back up but I could find an answer anywhere! On your 200s, do you change them out with other 2/0 owners cuz that's the size it comes with? I got sz 1 accidentally but not sure if I could put that on the 200

I landed a 50+ pound grass carp on the stock hooks with an S Waver 168, I think they'll handle a bass.
