Super User Catt Posted March 28, 2017 Super User Posted March 28, 2017 The size should be on the back of the box Quote
fish devil Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 SK Redeye is about all I use. 1/2oz. most of the time Quote
Super User soflabasser Posted March 28, 2017 Super User Posted March 28, 2017 My favorite lipless crankbait is a Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap and the size depends on what species I am targeting, depth of water, technique used,etc(1/8 ounce to 1 ounce). 1 Quote
TX-Deluxe Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 Rat L traps catch everything. Even when you least expect it ..**** like this happens. 2 Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted April 3, 2017 Super User Posted April 3, 2017 My two favorites are the Red Eye Shad and the Savage Gear Fat Vibe. Great action on the drop. Rat L Traps, Cordell Super Spots, and others catch plenty of fish though. For colors I like gold and silver chrome, firetiger, chartreuse sexy shad, red craw, bluegill, brown and green craws and also shad colors. The green gizzard shad color for the Red Eye Shad is a great general baitfish imitator for most species, whether shad or panfish. Fishing wise, it's usually a matter again of letting the bass tell you what they want by trying several different retrieves till you get bit. Usually I use a yo yo retrieve, a stop and go with twitches, or burning it. Since last fall, the bass for me have wanted a yo yo retrieve almost exclusively, the hits almost always coming on the fall. Quote
JigMaster4 Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 I like the RES, but I am new to trap fishing. However I did catch 2 4.5lb bass at a farm pond Sunday by ripping it off the bottom, and letting it fall. Quote
jimf Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 I throw what is on sale. Super Spots this year, BP had 5/$10 and I picked up $20 worth. Silver and a crawdad color are my two basic schemes. Quote
mprestonSEK Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 The 1/4 oz traps are always a good choice. Has anyone tried the Ima Suspending Vibration lipless crank out? Seems like a pretty cool lure Quote
