Rage toads for me in all but gin clear water, and my dirty little secret is a Havoc pit boss in clear water, they are a little on the light side weightless, so sometimes a lightly belly weighted hook on a "rage rig" is needed to be able to cast them effectively.

Zoom horny toad as well. Casts well, reasonably priced, good color selection and fairly durable too. Also makes a very nice jig trailer as well.

50/50 between a Stanley Ribbitt or Zoom Horny Toad. Some days the fish like one more than the other. Every once in a while I'll throw a Rage Toad.

I throw em on a 7' MH with 30 lb braid.

Durable and garlic scented with great lift and action.  Ive used zoom and stanley and rage.  Zoom are 2nd fav and rage is least favorite

Been throwing stanley ribbits mostly, because wally world had them for $2 a pack.  Stocked up on them.

But my favorite is the V&M bayou bullfrog.

Stanley Ribbit with a Double-Take hook is my favorite. I really like the Kietech Noisy Flappers too, but the Ribbit price is better.

since you know the guy who designed them , maybe you can talk him into making a bigger size !!!

Zoom for subtle, Stanley for medium and Strike king for most kicking action. All depends where I am and what the conditions are but those are the 3 I always have with me.

It used to be all 'hollow frogs', then in 2004 the Zoom Horny Toad launched 'Solid Toad' mania.

If you're looking for buzzbait-like commotion, you'd have trouble beating the Strike King Rage Toad.

For the early post-spawn though, I usually toss a Stanley Ribbit or Gambler Cane Toad

I've tried all the big one's. Zoom Toad, Rage Toad, Keitech Noisy Flapper. They've all worked well for me. I've also thrown the Zoom Z-Craw as a toad bait as well and it's worked well too.

I have a few of the Sizmic Toads and the Zoom Horny Toads. I actually never use them though. :o Just never seem to get to them Ill throw other stuff but eventually I will try them I guess. Maybe a symptom of the bait monkey giving me too many choices.

Like RoLo said, in the mid 2000's, solid bodied toads were the hot topic on these forums. I used to throw the Horny Toad all the time, but I haven't used one in a few years now, for no real reason. I have an old bag of Stanley Ribbits that I was thinking about using this spring, so thanks for the reminder!

Case plastics Buzzin' Frog, or a 3:16 No Bull Frog for a larger presentation.
