Turkey sandwich Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 This lake just seems like a nightmare to figure out.... But when they're getting bites, everyone is catching big fish. This is one weird classic. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted March 26, 2017 Super User Posted March 26, 2017 What are the fishing hours . Live coverage ends at 2:30 .I've been searching for two days . Quote

Ike's big bass looks like 8 lbs to me, hope he doesn't win! Tom 2 Quote

Still, even with the spawn, I'm shocked that more guys don't have limits of males, especially with there being so many guys so close with so much room in their livewells. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted March 26, 2017 Author Super User Posted March 26, 2017 The end of this thing is all kinds of Crazy ! A-Jay Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted March 26, 2017 Global Moderator Posted March 26, 2017 I haven't been watching the live coverage. Is Basstrakk right that Ike only has 2 in the boat? Quote

That's what it looks like. According to one report, his electronics **** out and he spent a chunk of the day on the phone trying to get it working and flipping out on Lowrance, I guess. Sometimes Ike gonna Ike. Quote

He was in such a good spot to possibly win it. I couldn't imagine what that must be like to be in a position to possibly win and have that kind of money on the line and your electronics take a crap! If that's the case maybe he'll be sporting some Humminbird units in the near future! 1 Quote
Turkey sandwich Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 I mean, a big part of being successful in general, I think, is functioning under pressure, even when crazy things happen. Ike has a way of wearing his emotions on his sleeve sometimes. Sometimes it's a good thing, other times it's the kiss of death. With this kind of tournament on the line, especially if he wasn't planning on sight fishing beds, that's an awful way to lose. Finding offshore bass without them is awfully hard. Quote
BassThumb Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 This has been an interesting last day. The Bassmaster Live coverage has been very clear this tourney. Much better than in the wilds of Okeechobee. Part of me was hoping Ike would pull it off, but it's great to see some of the newer anglers fighting for the win. Quote
Tim Kelly Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 Bit of a shame there wasn't a camera with Jordan Lee. We'll see how good his marshal is at estimating weighs at the weigh in.... 2 Quote

Not sure how that stuff works. But there's a picture of him and a cameraman right behind him. 1 hour ago, Turkey sandwich said: That's what it looks like. Kind of ironic that Ike had an issue with his Lowrance units and there's an ad at the top of this page and it's Lowrance and it says "can you TRUST your electronics?" or something to that effect. 2 Quote
RichF Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 Darn it B.A.S.S, way to hype this thing so much only to have your site fail before the last few anglers weigh. 1 Quote
OCdockskipper Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 I believe they are on break, not down. They always weigh in the first 19 anglers to get someone in the hotseat & then do the Super Six. 1 Quote

Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted March 26, 2017 Global Moderator Posted March 26, 2017 Pretty sure it crashed I can't even bring it up. Quote
FluffChucker Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 It's struggling pretty bad right now. I've got it up, but it's stuttering a lot. Quote
OCdockskipper Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 It is working, but if you try to access it now, it takes a long time. I never disconnected & it is working fine. Do you need a play by play? Quote
j bab Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 I wonder if there is a disadvantage having to wait several more hours by weighing in at the end? I've always heard fish lose weight in the livewell... 1 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted March 27, 2017 Author Super User Posted March 27, 2017 Congratulations to Jordan Lee – 2017 Bassmaster Classic Champion ! Coming from well down the leader board, and not allowing mechanical problems with his Outboard on this final day, derail him, Mr. Lee over came the largest deficit in Classic history to win - Pretty Awesome. I enjoyed the heck out of this one. btw - Quantum wins another one. A-Jay 10 Quote
OCdockskipper Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Not to mention his first day struggle with 8 lbs... wow. I think the overlooked story might be Steve Kennedy, he came oh-so close. 5 Quote
