Super User J Francho Posted March 24, 2017 Super User Posted March 24, 2017 Yep, totally. "4 pounder. No, 2. Maybe 2 and a half." Lol. I can appreciate the excitement though. Quote

Real classy Ike. Its time to move the camera to another boat already, he hasn't had a bite in hours and clearly he's frustrated. Oh, and by the way, Ike, its a public body of water so anyone can fish the lake. I'm not sure if it was the same quote, but I heard him say "What's is this f***ing a**hole doing?". Difference was I heard him say it on a huge screen in the middle of the Classic Expo, with plenty of kids & teens watching. I responded out loud "he is fishing a public body of water, Mike" & the guy standing next to me started laughing. I like Ike's enthusiasm, but as a public figure in a family promoted sport, this shows a complete lack of discipline. I'd bet a hefty fine is on the way, but if BASS really wants to nip that kind of thing in the bud, a penalty would be more effective. Yes I know Ike is passionate & emotional, but he can do that in a PG13 way while on camera. Stick to running laps around the boat & screaming "GIANT!!" while landing a 1 lb, 8 oz fish. Currently standing in line for the weigh-in & my knees are screaming at me to sit down. Maybe I'll name my right knee Mike & my left knee Ish... 1 Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted March 25, 2017 Author Super User Posted March 25, 2017 Brent Ehrler weighed in a 23-3 bag anchored by a 9-12 Go-Rilla of a Bass and currently sit's in 1st place. btw - now that the contestants are off the water Scrubby McScrubberson is running around poaching everyone's bass. He totally said it right on camera this morning during Bassmaster Live. The sad thing is that he KNEW he was on camera and still said it. This was when he was frustrated after hours of no fish and then caught several fish to take the lead. I had to change it after his garbage shenanigans so I didn't see him catch any of those fish. I hope they dish out a huge penalty or fine him for that because its just terrible sportsmanship. Course everything is all fine and dandy now that he's in the lead too. Quote
kroberts9 Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 i think ike has a learning disability for sure. he is beyond excited over 1lb bass the stupid outburst and lack of control of emotions. if you watch the mlf stuff he is head butting the refs and his windshield. i don't know i like his power fishing and think he is a very good angler, but he is a special kind of silly. i have keith combs to win it out of bucket A and it seems to be all but over for him 2 Quote
Super User WRB Posted March 25, 2017 Super User Posted March 25, 2017 It will be interesting to follow the MLF contestants in this years Classic, they currently make up about 1/2 of the top 25. Brent Ehlers 9 lb 12 oz was a big surprise, congratulations, could hold up as big bass the 2017 Elite season! Tom Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted March 25, 2017 Super User Posted March 25, 2017 I see Ike is still being ridiculous on the biggest stage in all of fishing. Too bad, I hoped he had grown up a little since trashing the American flag in another "Classic" Where is my man? KVD... Quote
Jason Penn Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 happy to see brent ehrler in the lead. that guy is a fine fisherman. nothing against the guys that have already won a classic, but it would be so great for someone that has never won it on both a professional & emotional level. ike, i can't really slam him because my mouth can be something my mother's not proud of, but i'm also not in a position that i need to watch it. 1 Quote
Fun4Me Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 EE just caught 20 pounds in 20 mins., less than an hour into day 2 to vault to the lead. No camera on him in Bassmaster live though Quote
