Super User fishballer06 Posted March 24, 2017 Super User Posted March 24, 2017 Interesting morning so far. There are guys throwing cranks, jerks, spinnerbaits, carolina rigs, and sight fishing. Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted March 24, 2017 Super User Posted March 24, 2017 fascinating to me how long these guys will work a small area...KVD, Evers....these guys spent better part of an hour without moving 100yds and its not like they were sight-fishing particular beds Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted March 24, 2017 Author Super User Posted March 24, 2017 And perhaps of no surprise is KVD is Stroking a jerkbait on sea walls - A-Jay Quote
IndianaFinesse Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 What happened to Keith Combs? He only has 2-4 pounds and is sitting in a surprisingly low 40th place, I really expected him to do well. 1 Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted March 24, 2017 Super User Posted March 24, 2017 I wasn't paying a LOT of attention, but I think they said he went to crank offshore while most chased shad spawn.... 1 Quote
Super User gim Posted March 24, 2017 Super User Posted March 24, 2017 I just heard Iaconelli say "what's this idot doing? He's up here fu**ing fishing." on Bassmaster Live. Real classy Ike. Its time to move the camera to another boat already, he hasn't had a bite in hours and clearly he's frustrated. Oh, and by the way, Ike, its a public body of water so anyone can fish the lake. 4 Quote

Super User bowhunter63 Posted March 24, 2017 Super User Posted March 24, 2017 Gonna be a dog fight Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted March 24, 2017 Author Super User Posted March 24, 2017 Ike's having the kind of first day every contestant wants to have. And we're seeing quite a few spinning rods already in the hands of many guys on the top of the first day leader board .. .. .. .. A-Jay Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted March 24, 2017 Author Super User Posted March 24, 2017 Looks like The Rain's about to move in on the Classic this first day. Also keep an eye out for Scrubby McSrcubberson . . . he's lurking there in the background. A-Jay Quote

Super User Senko lover Posted March 24, 2017 Super User Posted March 24, 2017 Ike has everything going for him - sacked them on the first day, and has a spot that should be replenishing day to day with these postspawn fish moving onto the channel swing. He's switched things up a little bit from his carolina rig and found something that's working - I really thing he's going to be a major contender on day 3. According to what I'm hearing, the guys up the lake fishing shallower aren't going to be able to do that three days in a row and have a chance to win. Could be wrong on that, but we may see those guys stumble tomorrow. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted March 24, 2017 Author Super User Posted March 24, 2017 Ike's got 5 now. A-Jay Quote
Super User J Francho Posted March 24, 2017 Super User Posted March 24, 2017 Now he's limited.... @Senko lover You think all his fish are postspawn? Looked like a one was pretty fat! Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted March 24, 2017 Super User Posted March 24, 2017 Combs just caught one! @J Francho yeah he said "believe it or not, they're all postspawn." Davy Hite said he thought one of them was prespawn, so I don't know. 1 Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted March 24, 2017 Super User Posted March 24, 2017 "GIANT one right here!!!" lol 2 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted March 24, 2017 Author Super User Posted March 24, 2017 Edwin just got a very 'special' bath ~ Seems he liked the cull but may not have enjoyed the nard splash. A-Jay 2 Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted March 24, 2017 Super User Posted March 24, 2017 Is the state 'limit' greater than the tourny bag limit? I was surprised he put that in the well before pulling one out Quote

Super User Choporoz Posted March 24, 2017 Super User Posted March 24, 2017 Yeah....I wouldn't have even mentioned it.....had I continued watching...he dropped the lid, but only to pick up the balance and work in the other well. ------------------------------ I'm getting tired just watching KVD....he probably averages close to a jerk per second....alll.....day.....long Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted March 24, 2017 Author Super User Posted March 24, 2017 Ike's just landed another 2 lb 'GIANT' Didn't help A-Jay 1 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted March 24, 2017 Super User Posted March 24, 2017 I don't know what's worse, "GIANT" or "Big 'un" 2 Quote
