Love my IMX.  I may need to try one.

You can find a used NRX or even a new GLX for that price. IMX and below on the gloomis series rods are overpriced and overrated imo.

It seems like a strange name/price point.  At that price they are competing with used nrx, glx (on sale), and the orochi xx.  With the name tied to the IMX model...  Who thinks that it can compete in the same price range as the orochi?  I know it's marketing and it could be called the GLoomis McNugget and still sell.

The good news is the current IMX are on sale for 220 at TW.  That is a great price and would be a great choice if you were considering a rod in that price range.

Maybe we are all assuming the IMX isn't significantly improved?  ? Maybe they are just as good as the previous GLX?  We can hope?

Yes, been fishing with the IMX-Pro 853c JWR for the past couple months, and just ordered the IMX-Pro 822s SYR

IMO compared to my IMX 803c JWR rod, the new -Pro is noticeably lighter, with improved sensitivity, and better balance.

Are they worth $325? Maybe.

I love the Imx & Gl2, when I got e6x's I thought they were a better value, not much difference from Imx. I am very curious about the Imx pro.

I truly believe gloomis are great rods not just a name. I have one NRX as well. I believe if I wanted to shell out another 325.00 for Imx pro I might as well get the 400.00 Glx.

I have been looking at trying the E6X 803C JWR but have been reading mixed reviews. Unfortunately I can't get a hold of one so I would be ordering blind. I have a few of the Avid X's for comparison. I also have 3 of the original IMX's I bought over 15 years that Im still using.
