Super User gim Posted March 18, 2017 Super User Posted March 18, 2017 Has anyone used this lure? I used the Storm Subwart years ago but its been discontinued for a while. This is supposedly the replacement for it. Quote
bigturtle Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 I got one in bass color 2 years ago and caught 2-3 fish on it. Its got a good action, casts well and has good hardware. I havnt thrown it much because for some reason fish in my area dont hit wakebaits as good as other topwater Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 21, 2017 Global Moderator Posted March 21, 2017 One of the only Arashi baits that I like. Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted March 21, 2017 Super User Posted March 21, 2017 There are 2 wakebaits that have been really effective for me. The first is my favorite, the Mann's Waker Elite which has been discontinued years ago but I have a good stash. The second is the Arashi wake crank, the Mann's works better at high speed but the Arashi can make a lot of noise at a slow pace. The only thing I don't like about it is that at faster retrieves the bait will blow out to the side sometimes but I now know how fast to go and it catches fish. I fished with just 1 to try out but I now have several, that noise and commotion, it moves a lot of water, is just a killer in dirty water. Quote
Super User fishballer06 Posted March 21, 2017 Super User Posted March 21, 2017 I've thrown them a fair bit. They require a very slow retrieve, otherwise they will roll over on you. I personally prefer the Rapala Fat 1 over the Arashi Wake, but I suggest you try both and see which you prefer. 1 Quote
