Super User FishTank Posted June 3, 2007 Super User Posted June 3, 2007 Dick's finally got the new Shad X-Rap in. The baitmonkey got me and I picked up 5 of them. They look amazing. I hope they work as well as they look. I'll be trying them first thing in the morning. I'll let you guys know how they work out. Quote
xxmurrxx Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Nice, I really like the origional x-raps. Anyone know if BPS has them stocked up? Im planning on making a trip to a store soon. Quote
Fisherman Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Yes, BPS has them in stock (in Florida at least).. I've used them for a few hours last weekend and picked up about 7-8 largies but all 1.5# and below. Hopefully they will work for hawgs as well. Quote
Super User senile1 Posted June 8, 2007 Super User Posted June 8, 2007 Are we possibly talking about minnow raps here? Quote
SDoolittle Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 I bought five or six X-Raps earlier this year and haven't had much luck on them. They look good and seem to have real good action, but for some reason I just haven't caught much on them. Quote
cpvenom Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Are we possibly talking about minnow raps here? Nope, its an X-rap shaped like a shad. http://www.rapala.com/enews/may11_07/ Quote
Super User FishTank Posted June 9, 2007 Author Super User Posted June 9, 2007 I have been using these for about a week now and I am not overlly impressed. I have caught a few fish but nothing outstanding. The Rapala DT's and my favorite LC's have done better. Maybe if my confidence improves I will have better luck. It's still too early to give them a thumbs down. I hope I can find a technique that will get more fish in the boat with these lures. The fish I have caught have been soft strikes on a short pause.
