Gr8wall Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 i just bought a pack in the fire tiger color, just wanted to see if anyone had an opinion on these??? just gonna give em a try just to see. Quote
CrazedL.IFisherman Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 have used them often, love the motion but cant catch a thing on this dang lures, goes in that special category for each individual fisherman where theres lures he or she uses, thinks has a great movement but cant catch anything, haha after that ranting i feel better about purchasing a pack of those Quote
bass109 Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 used the berkley powerbait blade dancer before, good action. I have had largemouth bass strike it. Quote
boondocks Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 The action on the blade dancers are a lot like Jaw Breaker spoons made by Northland Tackle.I can't catch a d**n thing on them either.Love the action but the fish don't. Quote
vaparrothead Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Agree with all previous posts; had two of 'em looked great going through the water but couldn't get a fish to take it. Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted November 10, 2006 Super User Posted November 10, 2006 ADD ME TO THE LIST. I GOT CAUGHT, NOT THE FISH. THEY SURE HAVE GREAT ACTION THOUGH. Quote
sodaksker Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I have a couple of sets of them and have never had a strike on them. I can't say that I have given them a very fair chance though. They have to be worked very slow or they will come right to the surface. Now that I have developed more of a "slow" game I should give them another try. I do know of a guy who claims he catches bass on them all the time. I have recently found a new little private 1 acre pond that is full of fish that will bite about anything you throw at them. The next time I go I will throw the "Blade dancer" to see if they catch fish there. Quote
Guest avid Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 add me to the list. there is no logical reason for this thing not to catch bass it just doesn't. Quote
Tom Bass Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I am happy to see that I am not the only one to get "hooked". Well, you never know until you try, I guess. At least you only bought1 pack Gr8Wall. I bought many. I must admit, it is fun to watch the bluegill look at them though. They'll be going in the bin with my Chatterbaits and a few other lures that never seem to work for me... Quote
Replica. Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Even pike that are hitting everything will not touch this bait. I was surprised when I seen the weedless bladedancer released, they must be fooling a lot of people. The thing that disappoints me (besides the bait being worthless) is that Al Linder endorsed this piece of junk. I rig the included plastic power bait on a jighead and fish it like you would a grub. This way it is not a total waste. Quote
Guest kingsalmon Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Al (and many others) endorses many products that are mediocre at best. Quote
Gr8wall Posted November 12, 2006 Author Posted November 12, 2006 man that is really disappointing to hear. oh well live and learn. Quote
Bassassasin12 Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 i used the smaller version one day while fishing with my uncle in a private pond for bluegill. Thing was killing them when we tipped it with nightcrawlers. never tryed it for bass. Maybe for pike you could tip it with a fathead minnow or shiner? Quote
Replica. Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Maybe for pike you could tip it with a fathead minnow or shiner? I was fishing for largemouth at the time and the only way to keep the pike from biting off my bass baits was to use the blade dancer ;D. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted November 13, 2006 Super User Posted November 13, 2006 The Blade Dancer has caught a heck of lot more fishermen than fish. Add me to list. I bought several, couldn't catch a cold with "em. Quote
jb_adams Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Maybe you guys should mount a "blade dancer" on the wall vs. that big trophy bass! ;D A littel board with plastic bait on it.....that would be funny! Quote
Valascus Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I was thinking about picking some up, but after reading these posts, I think that'll be a big fat no. I usually don't give many Berkley products a look. I just don't ever catch anything on their products. The power worm is about the only thing I have caught fish on. Quote
BASS fisherman Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I am on the list also. Never caught anything with those blade dancer lures. I don't like berkley or powerbait products at all. I just can't catch a cold with their products. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted November 15, 2006 Super User Posted November 15, 2006 Al Lindner endorses them because he gets paid to do so. Notice that his boat and clothing are covered by the same logos of the lures he endorses? Or that his show is sponsored by the same products he endorses? It's because he is sponsored by them. Quote
Turtle. Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 me also a big fat goose egg on the blade dancer, love the power worm though, one of my go to baits Quote
tewatk128 Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 I used the perch last Sunday and caught 4 lb. sm & 3 sm between 1 & 2 lbs. on the blade dancer Quote
