I know theres already a few posts on this reel vs the Met mgl but reading in some forums that most guys seem to prefer the chronarch for moving baits vs the 13 met and the mgl. Was curious if the guys on this board feel the same and why? Looking to purchase one or the other for throwing moving baits

I think people are over-complicating this decision. I own all 3 of the reels you speak of. All 3 of them are phenomenal reels for what you are asking. Buy what you prefer (or can afford) and you will not be disappointed.

I'm with Fishballer on this. I have 3 Chronarch CI4s, a new Chronarch MGL, and a 13 Met.

I like them all, they're all good reels at their price point and perform well. I do like the feel of the new Chronarch an bit more then the prior version. But some of the deals you get on the prior version right now are well worth it.

Sure the Met is a bit better and I like it a bit more. But get what you can afford and are comfortable with then don't look back. Given the understanding of unspecified reduced line capacity I'm not sure a Met MGL from a JDM site would be worth the savings to me.

Ive also learned that a good servicing and tuning really makes the Chronarch shine.

Thx for the info! Sorta leaning towards the chronarch i like the use of brass gears also. Can always grab a Met for another setup
