bassguytom Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Going through tackle and have a couple of bags of finesse worms that have kinks in them. Is it worth trying to straighten them out and if so what do you think is the best way to do this? If it's to much of a project I can always melt them down and make stick worms. Let me know your thoughts. Quote
frosty Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 I always heard dipping them in boiling water would fix them but I've never tried it. Quote
bigturtle Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 dip in boiling water for 5 seconds at a time Quote
seyone Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 the boiling water works. quick dip, followed by an ice bath set them fast. Quote
tander Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 Agree with the rest, boiling water does work. Quote
papajoe222 Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 You may want to leave them as they are, depending on how you intend to use them. They can add action to your presentation. The downside is they can also add twist to your line. On jig heads I wouldn't be as concerned with line twist as I would with a split shot, or drop shot presentation. Quote
