What size finesse jigs are your go to? Im thinking I want to get 1/4 oz.  I have a lot of 3/8 and 1/2 jigs already and no finesse yet.

Thanks!

1/4 Oz Booyah bug finesse jig. It flat out catches fish.

I've been doing really well with a 5/16 Jewel jig, it's got the thinned downed skirt and "finesse jig" look to it. I like the Keitech Casting jig in 1/4 and 3/8 as well when I want a fuller skirt.

I like 1/8oz and 3/16oz the best. There are two kinds of finesse jigs, micro finesse that range from 1/32oz up to 1/8oz and the more common type like the Eakins style that goes from 1/8oz up to 1/2oz. I use the micro finesse in cold water and during the middle of August, those times a 1/16oz skirted jig can get good bites but by far the 1/8oz Eakins style finesse jig with a small craw trailer is the most versatile.

I use the serbert 1/4 and 1/8ths ball heads and they work really well in rivers for me.  I would like if they offered the same jig with a slightly shorter hook for smaller trailers.   I have some hand pours that I ordered and the hook is a little long for those.

For my river fishing situation I really like 3/16 ounce finesse jigs.  The majority of my jigs are Strike King Bitsy Bug jigs, but I also use and like Siebert Outdoors Sniper jig and Finesse jig in 3/16 ounce.

Booyah baby boo jigs, in either the 3/16 or 5/16 ounce sizes depending on wind and depth.  And if you really want something tiny, get some 1/16 ounce Kaharaba jigs, they are a little smaller than a half dollar coin.

Could you put a link to the siebert ones?  Can't seem to find them

I've used Siebert's weedless ballheads for years.  Always a great choice and have caught lots on these jigs!

A few years ago I found a great compact finesse option in Brad Deal's (Real Deal Custom Tackle) 1/4 oz Pro Flip and 1/4 oz Pro Football.  He may not pour the 1/4 oz Pro Football anymore, which is a real shame, because they are a kick ass choice for finesse jig.

Keitech Tungsten Spin Jig at TW Pair it with a Paca Chunk Very light and small Also the Keitech Tungsten Mono Spin Jig is a very small finesse jig. It's smaller than the Bitsy Bug  but very effective in clear pressured waters. I use it on spinning gear Both have really sharp hooks

Has anyone used the siebert 'sniper' jig?

Yep, It's my go to finesse jig. I use 5/16 and ask Mike to use 36 strand count. Use your favorite color but I have most of my success with Bama Craw and use a tiny paca craw for a trailer.

Yeah no doubt give these a try! I personally went from Jewel finesse to War Eagle heavy finesse jigs. I fish 3/8 as my primary weight and they offer a finesse jig in that weight with a heavy wire hook. I'm able to pitch that bait with a flipping stick and crack it with out bending that hook even with braid. I've bent a fair amount of jewel light wire hooks.

Frankly, I don't think of a 1/4 oz jig as a finesse lure, which at the most would be 3/16 oz.

Most jig trailers can be fished 'unweighted' in shallow water, which is the ultimate finesse delivery.

Sieberts Finesse jig offers you everything needed, lots of colors, premium hook, good customer service, reasonable prices and site sponsor.

You can trim any jig to a finesse cut but I feel 1/4 and less is finesse. A light wire hook is part of the approach and lighter line like 10 lb flouro.  If your bending out hooks your not getting good hooks or your horsing them in.

I use the 3/16 and 1/8 cheapos they sell at Academy. For a trailer I cut a Senko in half, cut an X into the end of it about 1/2" up and remove two of the sides. It looks like a little crawfish pincher.

It has to be a slow slow day before I pull one of them out, but they work.

Siebert outdoors sniper for me I have several in each weight they are offered in. I like black and blue and bama craw for skirt colors and pair them with rage tail baby craws for a trailer.
