This is my first Daiwa.  Its stablemates will be a couple of Metanium MGLs.  This thing is ridiculously smooth and still feels solid for a lightweight magnesium reel.  The Metanium MGL put a smile on my face when I first cast it.  The Steez put a smile on my face the moment I touched it.

Love conquers all.

Over the long term, my bet is placed on the Metanium  :)

cool reel! how does it palm compared to the Mets?

It palms different than a Metanium.  Its like a wider Curado 70.  The Metaniums are on MHF rods and feel great for football jigs, keitechs, flippin light cover, 3/8 oz platics etc.  the Steez is going on a MF rod for 3/16-1/4oz stuff on open water.

The Metaniums fish so well.  Love my MGLs.  I wouldn't use the Metanium and steez for the same things.
