ReggieT Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Hey Guys, Been out of the saddle for a season or two. Boy, am I in Fishing Fever mode. I was reading some favorable reviews about this lure from Lucky Craft. Headed down to Wheeler Dam this week to toss something at the local stripes, spotted bass, maybe a suager or two! Who has used this lure or something in the series close to it? Any particular retrieve method? Thanks, Reg Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 14, 2017 Global Moderator Posted March 14, 2017 Major flop. I love Lucky Craft jerkbaits, but those were awful. 1 Quote

Super User Crestliner2008 Posted March 16, 2017 Super User Posted March 16, 2017 I have a couple of these along with many regular Pointers. For whatever reason, I find that the standard models work better - or just as good - for me. Not exactly sure why, but the "live" action portion of the bait is not as apparent when fishing in the standard twitch retrieve of jerkbaits in general. Where by, on a steady retrieve, it becomes more evident. Still a good bait and I agree with Montanaro above, that it marketing fell quite short of the norm for LC. 1 Quote

Its not the bait but how you work it that makes the bait a good one versus an also ran. Quote
