My wife bought me a new fishing rod for my birthday tomorrow. It's the 7'6" Heavy casting model. Seems to be well made and I'm anxious to put a reel on it and try it out. Anyone have one of these rods?

I have that rod in a 7'6" Med/Light spinning rod, which I use for slip float fishing for smallmouth with. Works beautifully. Well made too. I've only used it since last season, so I can't comment on how it will perform for a few more seasons yet. :)

Great rods for the price. I have 2 7' M spinning, 2 6'6" M spinning, a 6' M casting and the 7'6" Heavy casting rods. The only rod I haven't used yet is the 7'6" but if it performs like the others then I expect it to be great also.

I think you will like it.

I have a 7'mf spinning for general purpose. Just bought the 7'mh, and will be mounting a Curado 201HG with 40# braid for spinners, chatters and frogs.

I love the 7'6H. You can do almost anything with that rod...from swimjigs, frogs, punching, flipping, and large swimbaits!
