dcreign Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 just wondering if anyone here used or uses rain Shadow rod blanks. Also, what is their pricepoint? Thank You! Quote
Super User fishnkamp Posted March 13, 2017 Super User Posted March 13, 2017 I have a friend ( he builds custom rods) uses them a lot. They have several series but my friend Bryan has had Tom build a few using the Revelation series I believe. He has liked them/ Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Rain shadow is a quality blank company with a comprehensive list of offerings. 2 Quote
blckshirt98 Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 There are a few surf fishing builders in SoCal that use Rainshadow blanks in their builds - have never read anything negative about those blanks. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted March 14, 2017 Super User Posted March 14, 2017 They make a very full line of blanks, at a variety of price ranges. Check here: http://www.anglersworkshop.com/Batson_2 Ive built several rods on their blank. Two Eternity, two Revelation, and several Immortals. Great blanks make great rods. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted March 14, 2017 Super User Posted March 14, 2017 I have one Immortal and three Eternity. I intend to replace all of my other rods over time. Quote
papajoe222 Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 I, also, have done a couple of builds using their blanks and love both the quality, performance and value they offer. You can't go wrong building on them. You can compare their cost to others on any number of sites. Quote
Super User new2BC4bass Posted March 14, 2017 Super User Posted March 14, 2017 I picked up a couple used rods made with an RX7 and RX8 blank. No action listed, but the RX8 is definitely an XF to the RX7 Fast. Probably why the RX7 Rain Shadow is one of my favorite rods in that power. Both are 7' MH. Afraid I am not familiar with their blanks other than these two rods. If I can force myself to sell a few of my current rods, I would love to own a few more. Would like to try some in the higher priced lines. Quote
faygo1979 Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 the Immortal is a great blank now that they lowered the price. Probably the best blank I have found in that price range. I think they have more competition in the Revelation price point. I have not looked at the new eternity blanks But I have a hard time selecting anything but a point blank rod blank at the higher range. Quote

BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted September 28, 2017 BassResource.com Administrator Posted September 28, 2017 I have an Eternity2 and my wife has a Revelation. Both are awesome blanks. In my opinion, no shelf rod can match the Eternity2. Quote

Glen how is the sentivity in the eternity2 i was wanting to get a mh but see that their mh blanks are not rated for the lures i was wanting as i was looking at 1/4-3/4 which would be a medium from rainshadow Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted October 3, 2017 BassResource.com Administrator Posted October 3, 2017 The sensitivity is outstanding on the Eternity2. Really. I absolutely love this rod. Look outside their bass line for the rod you want. I actually got a salmon rod blank, cut an inch short, in order to get the action I wanted. It's a perfect fit and action. Quote
