If all of you had to pick just one Reel Company. You can not pick another Reel Company ever. Just one pick the rest of your fishing lives. Which company would you pick and why?

Daiwa that is simple for me.  I have sold of all of my Shimanos in favor of the newer Daiwa reels.

does daiwa include megabass?  I am daiwa all the way!

It's still a Daiwa reel, so yes it should include MB. That's my answer also.

Shimano for baitcasters.

Daiwa for spinning.

Shimano for both spinning and casting. Just can't beat them....

A lot of statements of brands, not a lot of whys.

Lew's.  I'm newer to the bass fishing addiction, but my first baitcaster was a BPS carbonlite.  My 2nd was a Lew's Tournament MB... The next 4 reels have all been Lew's.  Smooth, they cast a mile, and they just feel like a solid, quality reel IMO.

I was guilty of that. I said Daiwa. I like that parts are readily available and most of the reels I have now are Daiwas.

Shimano. Why? They're well engineered and have fantastic quality bearings. I like my Daiwas too, but Shimano has the upper hand for me.

I'm all about Magforce Z and 3D braking systems so I'll fish my Daiwa's until I'm done!  Spinning reels too.
