The segmented Pointers...why are they so hard to find? I can't find any evidence of them being discontinued. No longer available on Cabelas or Tacklewarehouse website. Was only able to find a few of the 3" on Amazon, I'm after the 4". There seems to be a fair amount for sale on eBay however. Maybe they are being discontinued?

If your segmented Live Pointer outfished my Lucky Craft Pointer,

I wouldn't say that the Live Pointer outfished the rigid Pointer, I'd say that YOU outfished me.

"Why are they so hard to find?"

The law of supply-&-demand is a self-fulfilling prophecy  ;)

I saw them discounted heavily a few months ago. I don't like them myself. They tend to break in the joints. A bait that costs as much as they do should be more durable.

A-Jay the enabler ;)

Why should I be the only one slowly sinking my boat with all the added weight ?

I have a few and I'm not crazy about them. Cabelas was flexing them for like $4.99 a few months ago.

Agreed. I love jerkbaits, but never have warmed up to the Live Pointer.

The wire the connects the tail segments badly throws the lure off balance. When it suspends, it hangs vertically with the nose of the bait pointing towards the water's surface.

I bought quite a few from Cabela's when they were blowing them out for $5. They're terrible jerkbaits, but if worked as a crankbait with only short pauses, they're decent.

I found some for dirt cheap several years ago and bought a bunch. Fished them a few times and couldn't get rid of them fast enough. I love LC jerkbaits, but they were terrible for me.

They never work for me either. I have had great success with them using them on a deadstick rod in a rod holder while drifting on lake Erie. Obviously they need to be worked slowly & they work better pulled rather than jerked. I have multiple baits in the color shown in the picture.
