Just found out about this reel not too long ago on Japanlureshop.  Looks like I'll be debating on getting this reel or the Chronarch MGL.  Thoughts on this reel?  First impressions from pictures?

I spent all yesterday afternoon gawking at it.  Looks like it'll be cheaper than the Chronarch MGL also.  It looks pretty awesome.  May very well be my first JDM purchase.

In for info... I too am contemplating picking up a Scorpion DC.

From what I understand, the Scorpion DC is a 200 sized scorpion (Curado) with the DC5 unit from the Metanium DC.  Its a 100 sized spool.  I had two 2015 Metanium DCs.  They were ok, the Met 13 and MGL cast further.  But, this Scorpion should be a relatively affordable DC option.  The DC 4x8 unit is fantastic, the DC5 was, well, fun but not awe inspiring.

Bootytrain has one, maybe he'll post or maybe send a pm.  From the sounds of it, it is a good reel.

its the same size as the curado 200i if anyone is curious.

i do not have the scorpion dc but i have the MET DC and the MET MGL.

if you are mounting this on a light rod, id get the JDM MGL. should palm better than the scorpion and i'd probably choose this reel over my MET DC if that helps. i doubt you could go wrong with either.
