berkleyfan81 Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 My one friend was giving away some bps stampede spinning reels for free I picked them up thinking they were fine .Until I got home and reel them they started wobbling reel bad one a regular spinning reel with front drag and the other Rear drag . Anyone have this problem it the red ones noth the newer ones . I contact bps they say to send them in but I look up the prices and they kinda high. So wondering is the a part I'm missing or just Junk them ? Quote
Super User fishnkamp Posted March 10, 2017 Super User Posted March 10, 2017 I would not spend any money on them. You can walk into BPS and buy one in a rod and reel combo for only $27.00. The reels sell new for only $17, They are not worth anything. Save you money and get a better couple of reels. Take a look at the Tourney and Extreme reels. They are both on sale. 2 Quote

Delaware Valley Tackle Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Cheap spinning reels wobble because they have insufficient or no counter weight in the rotor. Quote
berkleyfan81 Posted March 11, 2017 Author Posted March 11, 2017 Delaware valley tackle , I notice that maybe the counter weight was supposed to be in the reel but it's missing . In both ill probably just trade them . Quote
