Huge cat! Fantastic accomplishment for the kiddo!

Not to mention his other 100 pound Panamanian

sailfish he caught. Little Larry Dahlberg in the making!

I think it's fake.. the biggest flathead I've seen recorded but not the official record is like 120 lbs.   You're talking about an 80 + lb Jump .. impossible ? No .. unlikely .. yes.. I could be wrong. But I don't think so...

That's the only pic I've seen as well.. I'm not convinced but would be stoked if it's true because I have quick access to the Ohio.... Oh.. and BTW.... You don't wanna go swimming in the Ohio River lol.. regardless of the fish.

Here in Pittsburgh, the only people that go swimming in the Rivers (Ohio included) are the people that someone else is disposing of...

So no clarification on this supposed world record ? I heard about it weeks ago. Saw the one picture. Dismissed it. And haven't heard about it since. Only one picture ?? Come on man...

I have several old books that say blue catfish over 200 pounds use to be caught in the 1800's and sold in fish markets, so I do believe its possible there might be some blue catfish over 200 pounds at this moment in time.Divers commonly report seeing catfish bigger than the current world record, so I wont be surprised if someone catches one of these giant blue catfish in the near future.

like I said seems to good to be true. interesting pic , do know that would not be me in there. i like to be the one doing the eating.a fish that size would outway most men ,and easily drown them.

But who catches a world record catfish and only had one pic ? How would you know the weight ? It just doesn't add up.. if you Google world record flathead.. nothing about this fish comes up..

Not even an article about one being that big caught and waiting to be certified... I am a bettin man.. and I'm all in on this one.

Is that article saying that a 54 pound blue cat is a potential record?

For his age.
