WildmanWilson Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 You can only pick one to use the rest of your life. Would it be drop shot, Ned rig, neko rig, shaky head, wacky rig, or some other? There's other techniques that may be considered finesse as well so name that one that you would pick. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted March 10, 2017 Super User Posted March 10, 2017 Hmmm...for the rest of my life. Don't ask @A-Jay. Might actually be the drop shot. Or wacky. Either. Or both. I can't pick both, can I? Quote
Super User Scott F Posted March 10, 2017 Super User Posted March 10, 2017 Why would you only pick one finesse technique? Your premise makes no sense. One technique would never work all the time. A good fisherman has to be able to adapt and use many techniques to be successful. 2 Quote

Just for fun to see the one most would pick. Just like saying you can only pick one bait to fish with from now on. I know it's not going to cover every situation. Don't over think it. 3 Quote

So instead of posting a silly question, next time, just ask what your favorite finesse technique is. 5 Quote
greentrout Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Zoom Finesse worm watermelon with red fleck on 8 pound test spinning and 10 pound test b/c. Both Texas rigged with weight from 1/32 to 1/4. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 10, 2017 Global Moderator Posted March 10, 2017 No way I could pick just one. I have to have my wacky rig for largemouth and Ned for smallmouth. Quote

OCdockskipper Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Ned Rig. And apparently Scott F is an angry elf today... 2 Quote
Super User WRB Posted March 10, 2017 Super User Posted March 10, 2017 Slip shot rig, use it for 40 years and going strong. Tom 1 Quote
HookRz Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Learn to fish plastics/ hair on light jigs and you will soon realize the rest of the rigs are excuses and shortcuts. Caution: This may take a few years. Might never happen at all unless you are willing to work at it or started really young. It is an art. Quote
Super User MIbassyaker Posted March 10, 2017 Super User Posted March 10, 2017 Owner bullet ultrahead + 4" Berkley power worm: 2 Quote
IndianaFinesse Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Half of a zinkerz on a 1/16 ounce mushroom head, although I am really starting to like the owner 1/8 ounce shaky head with a finesse trick worm. Quote
Super User MassYak85 Posted March 10, 2017 Super User Posted March 10, 2017 I would say wacky worm since it's my favorite to fish but realistically it doesn't cover the whole water column as well as some of the others. I might have to go with drop shot. 1 Quote

Your answer to this question will fit perfectly in this thread. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted March 10, 2017 Super User Posted March 10, 2017 I have it narrowed down to a wacky rig or a split shot rig. 1 Quote
MisplacedTexan99 Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Drop shot or mojo rig I can't decide between the two....really hard question because I use a lot of finesse teqniques Quote
IndianaFinesse Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Sounds like I'm missing out... I have yet to catch a single bass on drop shot. I use it for crappie, panfish, walleye, and sometimes even catfish, but i have never been successful when bass fishing with it. Quote
