ErikmonBillsfon Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Tha heck is dis? Longest baits PDL rig I don't know if it would replace the keitech at 15$ Doesn't list length?? Quote
ErikmonBillsfon Posted March 10, 2017 Author Posted March 10, 2017 Theit jig has cute double spring locks as a weed guard? Definitely out of the box thinking but might just be a gimmick. Quote
Super User RoLo Posted March 10, 2017 Super User Posted March 10, 2017 Looks like something you'd find in a drain trap. Although it has all the charm of a coat-hanger, I don't think it'll be too popular with guys concerned about the visibility of braid 3 Quote
Super User MassYak85 Posted March 10, 2017 Super User Posted March 10, 2017 Definitely out of the box thinking but I'd be concerned with one of the dummy baits getting squashed down onto the hook when a fish grabs it and hurting the hookup ratio. Quote

I found this on another website: " After many months of testing, Longas Baits is proud to present their new PDL Rig. This innovative new rig features a 5" swimbait with two smaller 2" swimbaits attached via clear flexible fluorocarbon wires to give the realistic impression of schooling minnows. " Quote
unhallowed Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 The "what's new" video for tw called it a "finesse style Alabama rig" . Don't believe I'll be purchasing one. Quote
S. Sass Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Just wait as soon as a "pro" starts jerking the kids chains about how awesome it is they will sell. Just have to price it like its a Megabass $25 each and kids will have mom and dad buying them like hotcakes on Sunday morning. Quote

Ya maybe they didn't think this alien lure through all the way. Both are valid worries. Also I'm sorry to the company I'm not trying to be bashing it, giving it exposure and I might even buy one. Yalls had to know people would talk about it and make jokes. I have no intention of being negitive on a company or brand. Quote

Isn't allowed in the Elite series, so you won't see any of those guys talking about it. Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted March 10, 2017 Super User Posted March 10, 2017 Just curious...what makes it 'prohibited'? Quote

Dummy baits are not allowed. From section C8 in their rules: Any umbrella-type rigging, harness or other device designed to hold more than one lure at a time – with or without hooks – is not allowed. Super User Choporoz Posted March 10, 2017 Super User Posted March 10, 2017 Thanks. Didn't know that. I knew multiple hook A-rigs weren't allowed, but didn't know that 'dummy baits' weren't ok. Quote
