i have a 100 gift card to bass pro and was set on buying a new Curado 71 hg to add to my Curado collection. Upon getting there I noticed a heaping pile of pro qualifiers on sale for 50 bucks each.

On this forum I've read nice things about them and got to thinking....is the pq a good enough reel to skip over the Curado?

Should I spend a hundred bucks and use the gift card to buy the Curado 71? Or should I save the 100 dollars and walk out with 2 pro qualifiers?

I'm hung on the choice.

I'd spend the extra on a Curado, love my 70XG.

Curado all day, I feel like the PQ isn't comparable at all. And considering you already have a fleet of higher end reels, you may be disappointed with it, however they are decent reels still.

I'm not going to compare a PQ to a curado, but I picked up 3 PQ and at $50 it's a steal. I love these reels. My brother has used his PQ for river fishing salmon and caught tons of King, Pink, silver, and chums on it over the years and it's still going strong.

The PQ is a good reel and the Curado is a better reel. So now you have to decide if you want good or better, or 1 reel verse 2 reels. If money isn't an issue then but the best you can afford.

I was 99% sure I was going for another Curado.

Deep down I was hoping I'd get talked out of it. Lol

thanks for for the replies
