Stopped in a local antique shop and saw these two little reels on a shelf. They were asking $7/ea, and I bought both for $12. Both are in good working order, but probably will make their way to my desk at work.

The red color reel is a South Bend Perfectoreno model A, and the silver one is a Pflueger Akron No. 1893L.

Any info appreciated as I don't know much about these reels. 20170305_182702.thumb.jpg.d888747dc9483c6d660a8896791ec023.jpg20170305_182718.thumb.jpg.d6d37304018f9c2e463515f958424585.jpg

Nice find! Those will make great "man-cave" decor!

I can't resist picking up old reels when I find them at antique shops, flea markets, yard sales, etc. I'll clean them up and repair them, if needed, and parts are available.
My wife always asks me why I need another old reel. I tell her it's better than spending my money on liquor and wild women.
