Alan Reed Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 I looking into getting an upgraded depth finder for my kayak. I have read mixed thoughts on using side imaging on a Kayak. So is it worth it? Good images and results? Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted March 4, 2017 Super User Posted March 4, 2017 Totally worth it....to me at least. Saves me from paddling over to check out an area and as far as images go, it is the same as if it was installed on any boat with the one caveat that paddling can create some "wave" on the image as the kayak rocks back and forth on a paddle stroke. scotty918 Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 I have a side imaging unit on my Hobie. Suffice to say, I'm a big fan of side imaging. 1 Quote

scotty918 Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 There is a "Lowrance Ready" installation spot under my Hobie that I modified (not hard) to fit the Humminbird. What kind of kayak do you have? Quote
