Favorite Bladed swim jig and trailer and why

I like the Z-man Chatterbait with a Zoom Fat Albert. Matching colors to start, but maybe a contrasting color. And you cannot over look white.

My favorites are the ones I got from Bluebasser86...I am currently waiting patiently for North Star Baits to release their bladed jigs The Twerk...

Zman freedom with a soft jerkbait trailer

 

I find that the jerkbaits have a nice fluttering motion to them while some paddletails cant kick well due to water disturbance of blade and skirt.

I personally really like the Keitech Easy Shiner in whichever color you prefer trailing the Zman Custom Chatterbait.

Only @Bluebasser86's....I've tried half a dozen others....no reason to revisit any of them.

 

80% of the time, I use Rage Tail Structure Bug...and usually, its white (thank you, @roadwarrior)

Remaining 20% is a mix of cane thumpers or flukes....I did get a couple packs of incrediclaws over the winter....I think it was Roland Martin that suggested....but I'd listen to @A-Jay, too

I prefer the Z Man Chatterfrog with a bruiser baits junior swimmer. This thing thrashes like no other and will easily get the attention of big cruising bass.....and also large swaths of angry pike from my experience.

I hoard original D&M Piranhas when I can find them but also use the Picasso Shock Blades and SK Rage Blades.  I also got a bunch of original chatterbaits from overstockbait that I'll throw into anything because they were so affordable.  Trailer wise I for the most part stick to a single tail grub.  I have some rigged up with different trailers but the single trail grub is simple and consistent.

I've had some recent success with no skirt and craw trailer. Got the freedom and swapped the hook to 3/0 ewg and added a preferred trailer.

Ever fished a swim jig with a menace trailer ??? Ever fished a weightless or t trigged menace ?? 

 

Honestly... I would have kept the skirt but the hook it comes with is elongated for the skirt to

Fit above the gap... When you swap to a preferred hook the skirt doesn't have anywhere to go ! So I tried it like this... I stuck a few around some cat tails and a few over some rocks in a small cove.. I'm sold it doesn't need a skirt... But aye buddy, You just go ahead and keep ur skirts.

Ive tried some and never got bit.  I noticed you cant really use skirt without the stock hook.

 

I dont see why it wouldn't work but I havent developed confidence yet

I fished the ones I make naked with just a 4.3" SI Fat during a tournament at LOZ this last fall and did really well with it.
