Clear water - I try match my jig color to the surroundings I am fishing.  I try to do the same with my plastics.  Most times, watermelons, green pumpkins, blacks, smokes, cinnamons get the job done.

Stained- Same colors, but add in some white and chartreuse as well as some colored flakes.

Muddy - Black baits with red, blue or chartreuse and solid white baits.  White is actually a good muddy water color.

Clear: Brown, PB&J, watermelon flash, and brown/orange. I throw these color jigs with no rattles, a trimmed skirt, and a small realistic craw trailer like a ZOOM critter craw.

Stained: Black/blue, black/blue/purple flash, black/brown/gold, and white. I fish these jigs with rattles and a slightly bulkier trailer like a super chunk Jr.

Muddy: Black/blue, black/red, black/chart, and white. I use double rattles and big bulky trailers like Paca chunks in muddy water.
