Bsud Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 I've been reading that glassware like the new Pyrex and Anchor are not to safe to use in microwave. Are there other better things to use to cook plastisol or will I be ok with my Anchor measuring cup? Quote
Esoxfreak Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 I use Pyrex and set them in a electric skillet to keep them hot. I found I couldn't do a lot of baits with the microwave because it would cool too quickly. Or I'd over heat it...or I got bubbles. This way I can just crank em out without having to fuss with inconsistent temps. Quote
D3FT Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 I have been using both brands of cups for a few years now without any problems. Make sure to clean and inspect them for cracks or chips often and wear your safety gear. 1 Quote
Dave A Posted April 15, 2017 Posted April 15, 2017 Yep- been using both with no mishaps yet. But I wear gloves and have a bucket of water by my side all the time because I do get burned from time to time. And I always wear an organic vapor mask and have exhaust fans going. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted April 21, 2017 Super User Posted April 21, 2017 I had problems with the glass so I switched to a cheap microwave and Nor Por cups. I use them all the time now and my Pyrex stay in the closet. Quote
