I'm a Life Long Bruins fan ~ Been to many games at the old Boston Gardens many times and only once in the new building; but it was when they hung that last banner - Tim Thomas was unconscious during that whole playoff run.

I'll admit that I'm not the biggest fan around as to how the game has evolved - the elimination of the red line - the ticky-tack stick & holding penalties - all sort of weak.  Prefer the old school game, but still watch it when I can.

B's beat Dallas on the road today 6-3.  Decent game.  Seems coaching change gave them a boost.

1 loss since firing Claude.Should have happened a month prior.Might be in better position if they had.

Perhaps ~ but the players have to accept at least half the responsibility for poor play.

Whatever the reason, while watching todays game, even though the players are the same - they sure looked like a different team  ..  ..  ..

For sure.Cassidy is letting them do their thing.Claude would never. Can't always just "get back" sometimes you have to make a play.

Yup ~ But if they get more than they give up - could keep them playing a little longer this spring.

Sabers fan. Been a while since I have had anything to get excited about.............not as long as the Bills, but long enough. I was all for the "suck on purpose" and rebuild phase in the post Ruff/Reiger era, but my interest is fading fast. Maybe some day before I croak, both teams will be good at the same time.

I've watched hockey for 25 or so years and played for 10 years. It's a fun game to play and a rough one too. A concussion and a separated shoulder and a scar across the bridge of my nose are my battle wounds from the playing days I made it out pretty unscaved.

Being from Michigan I'm a big Wings fan. They've had a pretty good record setting playoff streak that will no doubt come to and end this year. You can't beat the good old days in the early 90's with the wings and the avalanche!

Weren't they still the Nordiques back in the early 90's? Being a Wings fan Pavel going back to Russia must've been a major bummer. The Nordiques logo is still my favorite of all time. Those colors were great.

My bad they moved in 95. Must be the concussion fogged my memory. Lol

Things have gone down hill the past few years. I though their new coach would do great things, he did at their farm team down the road from me but oh well. Now that Mike Illich has past away who knows what direction they're going to go with the Wings and Tigers?

I live in the heart of Flyers country but am a long time Devils fan. Catch a lot off flack on that one.

Big fan of Tuukka Rask and Brad Marchand as players, hope the Bruins can keep the roll going. Going to be a while before the Devils pull it together.

We all hated the boychuck deal. The Seguin deal too.Peter was a peter if you get my drift.I hope they don't do the same with Brandon Carlo. That kid paired with Mcavoy is going to be a killer 1st line D pairing.

Never watched hockey growing up, not a lot of ice or snow sports support here in Southern California.  I have grown to like NHL hockey more than the NFL, NBA or MLB because there doesn't seem to be a prevailing entitlement mentality among the players.  Even at the college levels of those sports, many of the players believe what they do is so very important and not just a game that they are very fortunate to be able to be playing. Here in Orange County, the Duck's players have become part of the community, much like the Angel & Rams players did in the late 70's & early 80's.

I root for 2 teams now, the Ducks and whoever is currently beating up on the Kings.

Lucic was one of the loafiest MFers I ever saw play the game.

I'm also convinced Kevan Miller can fight. You see that 1st punch today @A-Jay

Any other hockey fans on here?? I myself am a Bruins fan.

HUGE Bruins fan here.   Played hockey my entire life and I split season tickets with friends from college for years (would go to at least 10 games a year) but i gave them up this year because of the stupid moves they have made.  Neely doesn't have a clue.  He's the one that approves all of the stupid trades and over paying for marginal talent.   I could go on and on.

Love Hockey.  It took me along time to understand the game but when I did, it took on a whole new perspective. We have a minor Western League in Portland which is the developmental team for the Chicago Black Hawks.  It's the the only other venue other than the Maltese Tavern where you can sit back and watch a bunch youngin's beat each other to a pulp before someone intervenes.
